Our E-Bikes are only for use on local rides starting and finishing at National Park Village and not for transporting to other trails.
We have three suggested rides, all easy riding with an e-bike, that start and finish in National Park Village:

Marton Sash & Door and Erua Tramways

Starting and finishing in National Park Village this loop trail follows a recovered bush tramway route for an approximate 2-3 hour ride, you will bounce in and out of pine plantation, and catch magnificent views of the volcanoes as you travel alongside the North Island Main Trunk Railway Line.
This ride is a local section of the Mountains to Sea – Great Rides of New Zealand. https://www.mountainstosea.nz/marton-sash-and-door/

Fishers Track

Fishers Track is a mostly downhill track with stunning views over Tongariro National Park and wide open views of the mountains, starting with a short climb through the Erua forest, you then can enjoy a over 600m descent through native bush into the Retaruke Valley.

Instead of riding the gravel farm roads to Kaiteke where you would need a transport pick up, our ride suggests turning around at any stage of the descent that you choose, and using the E-Bike’s 3 modes with different levels of assistance to ride back up the hill to National Park Village enjoying the views again.
This ride is also a section of the Mountains to Sea – Great Rides of New Zealand. https://www.mountainstosea.nz/fishers-track/

Road Ride to Whakapapa Village

Enjoy a half day exploring…
Ride from National Park Village to Whakapapa Village, taking in the magnificent views of the 3 Volcanoes, lock your bike and explore the Tongariro Visitor Centre, maybe take in a short walk “Taranaki Falls” or Silica Rapids” have lunch in Pihanga Cafe or High Tea in the Chateau, on the ride back its a short stroll to Tawhai Falls, or stop for a quick dip in Mangahuia Stream.
